Not the writer; I don't know anything about him. I'm talking about my praying mantis. Let me just preface this by saying I get strangely attached to insects, maybe I relate to them or feel sorry for them but when I walked into my zoology class and saw that his little case wasn't in the box of live mantises I was legitimately scared. Sure enough, I found him in the box of the dead and I was WAY too upset. I know that I have unstable and disproportionate emotional reactions to things, but that didn't change that I felt really bad. I had raised him since the day he had hatched and I wonder if he was just too weak or if I did something wrong. I r

So, I'm a high school senior, which means lately I've been busy with applications. It hasn't been fun. I'm hoping to go to San Jose State an get a degree in illustration, but since California is poor, it has been impacted (like all CSUs and UCs). That means that it's harder to get in. I've got slightly above average grades and test scores, so I guess I'll be fine; SJS isn't exactly Ivy Leauge and when I went there, the students I saw weren't acedemically intimidating (not to look down on the school I'm just saying it looks obtainable). I just finished my application, so I feel a little better, but I'm still worried. I'm also applying to anoth
